Nursing Team
Our team of qualified Nurses, which comprises a Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurses, Health Visitor and Midwife, offer a wide range of skills to help you deal with every aspect of physical and mental health, both in the surgery and out in the community.
ADVANCED NURSE PRACTITIONER / NURSE MANAGER
Sheila Graysmark RGN DipPP BSc(Hons) Nurse Practitioner, Independent Nurse Prescriber
I run surgeries for acute appointments alongside the GPs. This includes taking a full medical history, conducting physical examination, requesting diagnostic procedures, diagnosing and prescribing where appropriate.
I also help patients to manage chronic disease including diabetes, asthma and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). I am team leader of the nursing team and co-ordinate the nursing service in the surgery.
PRACTICE NURSES
Sharran Rigby-Smith RGN, BA (Hons) Health Studies, PGCHSE
I see patients with minor ailments, chronic disease including diabetes, asthma
and COPD, and I carry out assessment and review of patients with dementia. I
also offer appointments for travel advice and cervical screening
Libby Gwynne RGN
I specialise in travel advice, diabetes, cervical cancer screening, sexual health care and family planning.
Liz Hillman Smith RGN
I specialise in coronary heart disease, asthma, COPD and weight management.
Philippa Luckett RGN
I am the Smoking Cessation Advisor for the Practice. I also see patients for
annual diabetic review and weight management.
Libby, Liz and Philippa are available for any general nursing appointments which you can make with the Receptionist.
PRACTICE MANAGER
Cindy Franzel Dip AMSPAR
Our Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running and organisation of the Practice. She is happy to assist with enquiries and complaints from patients relating to non-clinical matters that cannot be resolved by the reception team.
Administrative and Reception Staff
We have a team of experienced receptionists who are responsible for manning the telephones, typing letters, entering the data onto the computer and liaising between patients and clinicians. Receptionists have a difficult and demanding job to do but are here to help you. Suzi Best as Lead Receptionist oversees the day-to-day supervision of the reception staff and the efficient working of the reception.
