Opportunity for a salaried GP to join our well established, friendly and supportive practice in Mid Sussex.
We are looking for a GP to work in our vibrant and forward thinking practice based in the heart of our community. The successful candidate will be focused on providing great patient care whilst being dynamic and adaptable to meet the changes we will see in general practice over the coming years.
We are a training practice led by four partners with salaried GPs, ANPs and a range of other clinical staff to support us in our roles. We pride ourselves in providing a supportive working environment for all and meet regularly with the MDT to ensure a holistic approach to our care and opportunities for ongoing learning for all staff.
Cuckfield and The Vale Practice looks after 12,000 patients and is a dual site surgery based in Cuckfield and Haywards Heath and are part of the flourishing Haywards Heath Villages PCN. All staff work over both sites and our visiting rates are low. We use SystmOne and Ardens and hope to grow our list size over the coming years.
We are offering 4-6 sessions per week with some flexibility on days and would be willing to wait for the right candidate to work their notice period.
The package included the following:
- £10,400 per session per annum
- 6 weeks annual leave
- 1 week study leave pro rata

Band 6-7 pay, depending on experience
The post holder will be an experienced practice nurse, who acting within their professional boundaries, will provide high quality care for patients. The role includes delivering nursing care including smears, immunisation, health reviews, wound care and minor illness; The Implementation and evaluation of individual treatment plans for chronic disease patients , especially those with diabetes. The individual will work within the NMC Code of Conduct to agreed practice standards and protocols.
Implement vaccination programmes for adults and children
Support the clinical team with all safeguarding matters, in accordance with local and national policies
The senior nurse will be responsible for coaching and mentoring other members of the team, which may include student nurses and nursing associates. They will also be responsible for ensuring clinical protocols and procedures are reviewed annually and carrying out relevant audits, such as infection control.
The candidate should have core knowledge and skills of management of long term conditions i.e. Diabetes, Asthma, Dementia etc. Childhood Immunisations, Travel Vaccinations, wound management, INR, ABPM and in other enhanced services.
The Candidate should have the ability to work in a team, have good IT skills and strive to work for continuous improvement in their working role.

Reception / Administrator
Are you keen to provide great customer service? Can you adapt to a busy workload and consistently work with changing priorities? Can you utilise multiple computer packages and have brilliant telephone skills? If you answered yes to all of those questions than we may have the role for you!
Due to an increase to our patient numbers we have two part time vacancies to join our Reception/Admin team within our busy and friendly multi-site Practice team.
Cuckfield Medical Practice is operational across two sites and passionate about providing the highest possible care to our patients. You will have proven face to face and telephony customer service skills and able to work under pressure within a very busy environment.
Full training will be provided, but you will need to demonstrate the skills needed to work using your own initiative and become a valued member of the team.
You will be fully computer literate and as the first port of call for our patients, you will provide a confident, professional and compassionate service at all times. Our ideal Candidate will have a good eye for detail, have a positive attitude and be able to follow set processes and procedures. They will also be able to deal with the high pressure workload on a daily basis.
Hours & Shifts
Hours for this position are flexible. We are looking for two fixed term candidates to cover 30 hours per week, we also have one permeant part time position available (23 hours per week). Days of work to be discussed at interview.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible and have capacity to cover extra shifts during the week when necessary. If you have previously used the SystmOne Clinical System this will be a bonus.
You will be required to work at both sites, so access to transport is essential. Uniform and full training is provided.
